On June 23-26, a select number of Barbour County youth ages 9-12 will be able to participate in Alderson Broaddus University’s second annual “Battlers PlayRec Summer Camp.”
“Our hope for this four-day morning camp is to provide an exciting and safe environment for youth to learn new recreational skills, team building and nutritional information,” Lara Foster, intramural program coordinator at AB, said.
Mentors/volunteers from Alderson Broaddus University and the local community will spend the mornings leading youth in small group educational and applied learning experiences. The camp is 9-12:00 p.m. and is hosted by the AB Intramural Program. It is made possible by a grant funded by the Philippi Main Street Healthy Families Initiative.
Those interested in signing up their child, or looking for more information can contact Lara Foster at 304-457-6236 or via e-mailfosterlm@ab.edu.
