UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Rand, WV robbery

Police say they have captured a suspect in the 7-11 robbery in Rand, West Virginia.  

James Edmond McCune, 35, was picked up by West Virginia State Troopers while walking along Route 60 at about 3 a.m.



West Virginia State Police have identified the suspect in the robbery of the 7-11 on Midland Trail Drive in Rand, West Virginia. He has been identified as James Edmond McCune and is 35-years-old.

Police say he robbed the clerk at knife point and got away with cash. He was in and out of the story in about a minute.

West Virginia State Police are currently looking in the area for McCune.

There is no word on his whereabouts.



Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers confirm that the 7-11 located at 5424 Midland Drive in Rand, WV was robbed Tuesday evening.

According to 911 dispatchers, the robbery occurred just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.

The suspect robbed the clerk and knife-point and fled the scene. 911 dispatchers said the clerk suffered an injury to his arm and was treated at the scene.

West Virginia State Police have also responded to the scene.
