    Nine Martinsburg, West Virginia, residents and another from Keyser were sentenced to federal prison for breaking the law while they were on supervised release or probation.

Antonio Quintero, 36, an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution at McDowell, WV pleaded guilty in federal court in Bluefield to possession of a weapon.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said staff members saw Quintero toss something into the trash and, upon investigating, they recovered a homemade knife.

Quintero faces up to 33 months in prison and a $250,000 fine at sentencing, set for Oct. 27 in front of Senior U.S. District Judge David A. Faber.

The incident was investigated by the FBI, with Assistant U.S. Attorney John File handling the prosecution.
