The golfers are busy this week trying to strike gold on the fairways of The Greenbrier during the 2014 Greenbrier Classic tournament, but what are the players' wives up to?

"Gentlemen, if your wives are missing, this might be a place to start looking," said Al Lierman, vice president of retail, spa and purchasing at The Greenbrier. "The bag I'm holding here is by Judith Leiber, and it's encrusted with Swarovski crystals and it retails for $3,950."

The resort is showing off its new handbag store, Carryon, but the store features a little something for everyone. Those who aren't looking to break the bank can browse modestly priced clutches and wristlets as well.

"If you're not looking to spend that much money, we have bags like this one that start under $100 and many price points in between," Lierman said.

Even if a person isn't in the market for high-dollar items, a stroll through the shops can still be fun. The Jeweler is a store with quite a reputation, and is very popular with the players wives. It also contains the most expensive item The Greenbrier Resort has to offer — a bracelet with a price tag of $26,500.

One guest from Atlanta, Georgia pointed out no matter what a person is able to spend, something can be found at the resort.

"They've got different price ranges and they have a lot of younger styles for people in their 20s like me and also for older people here as well," shopper Shelly Evans said. "I was expecting more of antique stores, collectibles and resort wear, but it's been really interesting being here because they actually have more of the brands I love like Tory Burch and Kate Spade."

And there are several items that might pique the interest of men in the mood to shop as well.

"If you're tired of talking about handbags and shoes, this is where the men hang out," Lierman said. "This is the Greenbrier Classic Shop; anything with the Greenbrier Classic logo is available here at this shop.

"Down at the course during the tournament, we've got our big merchandise tents, but anything you can get there, you can get here all throughout the year."
