CHARLESTON, WV -

Kimberly K. Mauer, chairwoman of the Women’s Initiative at Frost Brown Todd, is celebrating after the Women in Law Empowerment Forum placed the firm on its annual Gold Standard.

The law firms chosen were recognized for the leadership roles achieved by the firm’s equity women partners. WILEF used strict criteria to certify just 45 firms nationwide this year.

Frost Brown Todd was recognized for the fourth consecutive year. This year, Frost Brown Todd was noted for having women account for at least 20 percent of equity partners (or 33 1/3 percent of the non-lateral partners who became equity partner in the past 12 months); represent 10 percent or more of the firm chairs, managing partners and office partners in charge; make up at least 20 percent of the firm’s primary governance committee; and represent at least 20 percent of the firm’s compensation committee.

WILEF was founded in 2007 by Peggy Cohen and Betiayn Tursi as a forum to educate and provide networking opportunities for women in law firms.

Frost Brown Todd has more than 475 attorneys in nine offices in West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
