San Diego Down Syndrome.org (SDDS) has recently received 328 free tickets ($33,784.00 value) from LEGOLAND California Resort via Merlins Magic Wand (charity funded by Merlin Entertainment Group) to distribute to our members with intellectual disabilities. Members of SDDS will be at LEGOLAND, Carlsbad, CA the morning of July 19th, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a group photo and a day of fun at the resort.

SDDS is pleased to announce our Second Annual LEGOLAND trip on Saturday, July 19th, 2014 which came about through significant collaboration with Merlins Magic Wand. SDDS is now able to offer this free, memorable and magical special event for families within our community. We wish to thank Merlins Magic Wand, Merlin Entertainment Group, and LEGOLAND California resort for their continued support.

SDDS opened in 2011 to educate the community about individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities such as autism, to spread greater acceptance and to advocate for the realization and enhancement of the full spectrum of human and civil rights for persons with Down syndrome. SDDS strives to educate and inspire parents of children with intellectual disabilities about what is possible so they can hold a vision for their childs unique growth path.

About LEGOLAND California Resort and Merlins Magic Wand Charity:

Merlins Magic Wand is a charity funded by Merlin Entertainment Group which owns LEGOLAND California Resort. This charity facilitated the large donation of tickets from LEGOLAND to SDDS. Merlins Magic Wand believes in putting the magic back into the childhoods of seriously ill, disabled, and disadvantaged children.
