Two people dead in two vehicle crash in Pike County, OH

 A man and woman are dead in a two vehicle crash which occurred in Pike County, Ohio.

According to a news release issued by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, this happened at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, July 17, on U.S. 23.

The news release says that 44-year-old John Mullins, of Ironton, OH, was driving southbound on U.S. 23 with 72-year-old Geneva F. Mullins, also of Ironton, in a 1992 Toyota Tacoma.

Mullins drove left of center and struck a 2003 Kenworth Tractor, driven by 70-year-old Karl. R. Woodley, of Ontario, Canada, head-on in the northbound lanes of U.S. 23.

Both John and Geneva Mullins were pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner, while Woodley was treated at the scene and released by Pike County EMS.

Several agencies responded to the crash, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol Chillicothe Post, who are investigating the crash, along with Pike County EMS, Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Pee Pee Township Fire Department, Huntington Township Fire Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
