Man arrested for robbing Exxon Food Mart in Point Pleasant, WV

 A man is in jail for robbing an Exxon Food Mart in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

According to a news release issued by the Point Pleasant Police Department, 23-year-old Nathan Dewitt was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

The news release says police responded to the Exxon Food Mart, located at 2200 Jackson Avenue, at 5:46 a.m. Thursday, July 17, in reference to an armed robbery call.

Police spoke with an employee as well as a witness at the store who was there at the time of the robbery, and found out what the suspect, Dewitt, was wearing.

Police later located Dewitt and arrested him.

Dewitt is being held in the Western Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
