LATEST: Two women wanted in connection to Foodland robbery, shooting arrested in Florida

CHARLESTON, WV -

UPDATE:

Two women wanted in the Kanawha City  Foodland shooting and robbery have been arrested, according to a news release from the Charleston Police Department. Telisa McCauley and Alisyn Proctor were taken into custody in Panama City, Florida by US Marshals on Tuesday, August 26. 

A news conference will be held on Wednesday, August 27th. Police will announce additional details on the arrest of McCauley and Proctor at that time.

UPDATE:
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information about Telisa McCauley. She is wanted by police for the robbery and shooting at the Kanawha City Foodland.  A group called "The Friends of Jeff Moore" are putting up the by money according to Lt. Steve Cooper of the Charleston Police Department.McCauley was convicted in 2010 for the brutal beating of Jeff Moore.

Charleston Police have released the names of the two adults arrested in connection with the Kanawha City Foodland robbery and shooting. John Proctor III is identified as the individual who shot the clerk. He has been charged with malicious wounding and first degree robbery.  Ricky Patterson has also been placed under arrest. He is charged with first degree robbery.A juvenile was also arrested in connection with the crime.  He was inside of the store with Proctor, according to court documents.  

Additionally, investigators with the Charleston Police Department have issued active warrants for two adult females. At least one of the two women was driving the get-away car that was used in the robbery and shooting at the Kanawha City Foodland. Both women, Alisyn Proctor and Telisa McCauley, have active warrants for their arrest.

Police have released the name of a woman who was shot during a robbery at Foodland in Kanawha City.  

Shawna Sampson, 44, was shot during the robbery and is in the ICU.

Police say that two shots were fired and one of those hit Sampson.  There is surveillance video of the robbery and it shows that both men were armed and wearing masks.  The shots came from a handgun.

The suspects stole money from the store while it was open and there were customers inside.  Sampson was the cashier at the time of the robbery.

The store owner of the Kanawha City Foodland issued this statement: 

"On behalf of my family, and our extended Foodland family, our thoughts and prayers are with Shawna, who was the victim of a senseless act, as well as her family and friends. The safety of our employees is of the utmost importance to us, and we are fully cooperating with the authorities.”

Officers with the Charleston Police Department said the clerk, who has not been identified, is in critical condition at an area hospital.  

According to police, the suspects in this case fled on foot towards Maccorkle Avenue.  Residents of Kanawha City are asked to be on high alert and keep doors and windows locked.

Charleston police officers responded to the scene of an attempted robbery in Charleston, West Virginia.  Authorities said a female clerk was shot.  It happened at Foodland, at 5003 MacCorkle Avenue Southeast, in Kanawha City.

911 dispatchers tell 13 News that the woman was transported to an area hospital.  The extent of her injuries are not yet known.

Detectives say they are looking for two white men, with masks, who fled the scene. 

Detectives have released a photo of one of the men.  If anyone knows of his or the other man's whereabouts, contact police or 911 immediately.

Dispatchers say the 5000-5600 block of MacCorkle Avenue was shut down, but has since reopened..
