About Your West Virginia Tonight Live Anchor


April Kaull is a statewide anchor and correspondent for West Virginia Media, based in Morgantown, WV. In addition to anchoring "West Virginia Tonight Live", she also serves as the Morgantown News Manager for WBOY-TV and anchors "12 News at Six" from the station's Morgantown studio.

April was born and raised in Harrison County, WV. She attended Lincoln High School and then graduated with honors from West Virginia University's Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism. April started her broadcasting career as a reporter and anchor at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, in 1995. In 2000, April moved to the Charleston area as the weekend anchor and Charleston reporter at WOWK-TV. In 2001, West Virginia Media purchased WOWK, WBOY, in addition to WTRF in Wheeling, WVNS in Beckley, and The State Journal Business Newspaper. April joined West Virginia Media the same year as a statewide anchor and reporter. She relocated back to North Central West Virginia in 2003

April is an active member of the community. She serves on several boards, and volunteers her time with a variety of organizations, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the CASA Program.
