According to a news release, on Saturday, March 12, Parkersburg police were called out to a convenience store located at the intersection of West Virginia Avenue and Emerson Avenue in regards to an armed robbery at the Speedway.
Officers say they spoke to the clerk of Speedway, who stated that a male suspect had entered the store and demanded the clerk to give him all of the money inside the store. The clerk complied with the suspects demands after the suspect displayed a gun.
The clerk provided police with a description of the suspect.
While on scene, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance two blocks away from the scene of the robbery involving a firearm being discharged inside of a home. Officers responded to the home, located on 36th Street and spoke residence of that address. They told officers that Marc W. Neogra, was responsible for shooting off a round inside the home after his parents had told him he had to leave.
Neogra was taken into custody and transported to Parkersburg Police Department after officers identified clothing that was consistent with the same clothing worn by the robbery suspect.
Neogra is being charged with Armed Robbery, First Degree.
