Police discovered the body of a man in the Little Kanawha River near Parkersburg, West Virginia.

The call to investigate the body of Kevin Matthew Mullins came in at 3:42 Monday, July 20. Parkersburg police found the body face down in the river with no apparent signs of trauma or injuries at the time.

Mullins, 50 from Parkersburg, was identified by officers who had previously spoken with him. After locating the body, police visited Mullins’ residence where they found people who had spoken with Mullins earlier in the day.

Police believe alcohol played a part in Mullins’ accidental death and his body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
