A Tornado, WV couple listened to the warnings when they heard the snow was coming and planned ahead.
But they aren’t exactly complaining about the wintry weather.
David and Krystyna Pence spent the afternoon walking hand in hand down a quiet and empty street in their neighborhood. They were not walking to the grocery store. They were just out walking for fun.
“I love it. It feels like home,” said Krystyna. She is from Vienna, Austria.
After her walk she made some hot tea.
“This really came directly from Vienna,” she said.
While the couple didn’t mind walking in the snow they didn’t want to drive on the slippery roads. They stocked up on food and drinks over the weekend.
“We figured we’d be in for a couple of days anyway,” said David Pence.
From inside her painting studio Krystyna has a perfect view of a West Virginia winter. It is an image that warms her heart. Like the tea she shared while stuck inside on a snowy Monday.
Krystyna has been living in West Virginia for five years. She said she loves how friendly people are in her neighborhood in Tornado,WV.
