A pursuit through Huntington, West Virginia lands one woman behind bars.

Lara Beth Lawson was at the intersection of Hal Greer Boulevard and Sixth Avenue when police attempted a traffic stop.

She did not stop and continued through the intersection and south on 16th Street, according to a release from the Huntington Police Department.

Cabell County Deputies took over the pursuit when Lawson drove her white SUV onto I-64 eastbound.

The chase continued to roughly three miles past the Huntington Mall exit where police officers placed spike strips.

Police said no one was injured in the chase and Lawson was taken into custody.

Officers say Lawson is facing  multiple traffic violations and she will be charged with obstruction due to her fleeing.
