Cassidy Wood comes to WOWK 13 News from Beaumont, Texas where she worked as a reporter for two years. During her second week on the job in Southeast Texas, Hurricane Harvey hit the area. Cassidy then went from covering a major flood to a World Series. Two years later, a second hurricane hit; Hurricane Imelda. So while in Beaumont, she was thrown into big news, very fast.
Cassidy was born and raised in San Diego, California, and graduated from Oregon State University, so she loves the outdoors! Beaches, mountains, lakes, and rivers; she loves to explore. She’s also a football fanatic. Cassidy loves all sports, but football is at the top of the list. Her family is originally from Fairmont, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, so she bleeds gold and black and twirls that terrible towel high above her head.
