Chris Knoll joined the 13 news team in October of 2022 as a Weekend Meteorologist. His interest in weather started after having a close-up encounter with a derecho on a Boy Scout camping trip.
Prior to joining 13 news he worked in Grand Junction, Colorado as a Morning Meteorologist for two years. While in Colorado he covered weather for the Rocky Mountains to the high deserts of eastern Utah.
Chris graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Meteorology in 2020. While attending college he anchored in a daily student run 30-minute weather broadcast called FSU Weather. He also studied abroad in the Republic of Panama in 2017. (Mi Español es menos oxidado).
During his off time, he can be found hiking, or playing tennis. He has a slight ACC bias for NCAA basketball but would happily cheer on anyone to beat the Gators.
