I’m Jake Siegel and I look forward to talking sports with you in the years to come.
Born and raised in South Florida, as your Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter, I will make sure we have the scores you are looking for, but will also introduce you to the people behind the sports we love. That’s been my approach at my previous stations in Alaska and Alabama, and during my years at Ithaca (NY) College.
Viewers want to know and understand the people who play, coach and teach sports. I’ve covered a pair of Super Bowls, a College Football National Championship, the MLB All-Star Game and the Alaska Iditarod Snow Dog Race, but the majority of my time has been spent on local high school and area college sports.
I know the Capital City has plenty of athletes and weekend warriors that will bring sports to life on WOWK.
