Moriah joined WOWK 13 News as a reporter in July 2020 after reporting for the past two years at NBC29 in Charlottesville, VA.
During her time at NBC29, she covered a wide variety of stories including two years of follow-up coverage after Charlottesville’s 2017 Unite the Right Rally to the recent Black Lives Matter Protests and Rallies surrounding police brutality in the United States. She also covered breaking news stories and several community-driven events and projects.
Moriah graduated from Hampton University in 2018 with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in liberal arts. She is originally from Hampton, Virginia.
At HU, she joined the National Association for Black Journalists and Kappa Tau Alpha Honor Society. She also wrote scripts for the student-run news station WHOV and worked a full-time internship with WAVY-TV 10 in Portsmouth, Virginia.
When not looking for her next story, you can find her exploring the beautiful city of Charleston or at the gym. She looks forward to connecting with the community!
