Natalie Wadas joined the WOWK 13 News team as a multimedia journalist in May of 2020 from Boulder, Colorado. Originally from Westminster, Maryland, she is excited to be back East reporting the news for Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.
Natalie graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with her degree in Journalism and with minors in both political science and Russian.
During her time there, she interned at KRDO NewsChannel 13 in Colorado Springs and also completed a fellowship with News21 out of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State in Phoenix, Arizona.
Natalie grew up traveling. She has lived in Germany and Belgium. She speaks German fluently and knows her fair share of Russian––she actually spent a month abroad in St. Petersburg to learn more about the language and culture.
When she’s not on the air, you can find Natalie hiking many of the beautiful trails this region has to offer and exploring Appalachia, or playing with her black cat, Salem!
Natalie went into journalism to report news and serve the communities she works for, and loves meeting viewers. If you see her out and about, feel free to say hi and welcome her to the area! Have a story idea or just want to chat?
