CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – The Battle of Blair Mountain was the largest labor uprising in our country’s history and the largest armed uprising since the American Civil War. The conflict was part of the Coal War, a series of labor disputes resulting in at least 100 people being killed and many more arrested.
Whitni Resides and Mark Brown are the co-creators of a show that’s in the works, depicting the Battle in, “Redneck Army.”
