"A tale of two breaks" In Ashland, KY

Within forty-eight hours two water line breaks occurred on US-23

ASHLAND, KY - On Sunday, a second water line broke in Ashland, KY on US-23. This break causing a similar size outage in the city. Both are now being worked on by city crews. 

The breaks have affected thousands in the area, leaving some people with no water, or little water pressure. 

Large commercial vehicles are being asked to reroute around the area. 

"Today within the last forty eight hours it's been a tale of two breaks..." said Interim City Manger, Chris Pullem.

The waterlines will be replaced with large PVC Pipe and Ashland's water treatment plant officials estimate the work will be completed early next week.

If you do not have full water restoration by this evening, you are asked to call the Water Plant after hours line at 606-327-2058.
