UPDATE: 7/16/2018 6:00 p.m.

Deputies confirmed that charges are being filed against two suspects connected with beating a 20-year-old man at a house party last Sunday.

The victim was recently released from the hospital where he was treated for a broken pelvis, broken jaw, fractured skull and other head injuries.

The victim will be recovering in a wheel chair for 11 weeks.

Law enforcement are still trying to confirm how many cars ran over the victim.

The victim's family claims that people were recording the incident on their cellphones instead of calling for help. They are urging witnesses to come forward with any information.

The case is still under investigation at this time.

SPANISHBURG, WV (WVNS) -- A 20-year-old is recovering in the hospital Monday after he was hit by a car at a large house party with underage drinking Sunday night.

Mercer County Deputies said the call came in around midnight at a home on Brook Branch Road in Spanishburg. Deputies said more than 100 people were at the party when a fight broke out. They said the fight was caught on video and one of the men involved was "hit by at least one vehicle."

Deputies said a majority of the people at the party were under the age of 21 and drinking alcohol.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and later flown to CAMC. Deputies have not released his name at this time but said the victim is from Virginia.

Right now, deputies said they are interviewing witnesses. Princeton Police and West Virginia State Police are assisting in the investigation.
