CROSS LANES, WV (WOWK) — We are learning new information about an early morning fatal shooting in Cross Lanes.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was told to file a protective order against Alexander Hall, 23, of Cross Lanes, and leave their house at Carleton Court Apartments after a domestic dispute earlier in the weekend.

Hall came back to their house to find the woman missing. They said he called 911 while a deputy was getting an arrest warrant for Hall in connection to the domestic dispute.

The woman’s father, Billie Parker, 52, of Spencer, went to the house to check on her. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said this is when Hall shot Parker two times. Parker later died after being taken to the hospital.

As of Monday, Hall is being charged with domestic battery and deputies will be working with the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to see if more charges will be filed.
