UPDATE (Saturday, August 26 at 9:01 p.m.) – According to the Charleston Fire Department, no firefighters or residents were injured; however, a dog was rescued from the home.

The house is a total loss, and the cause is still unknown at this time.

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – Charleston Fire Department and EMS are responding to a structure fire on the 500 block of Garrison Avenue, according to dispatchers.

The report came in around 6:15 p.m.

No major roadways are closed at this time.
