2 Men Wanted in Shooting of Man Found in Huntington Alley

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) - UPDATE: 12/14/17 @ 4:10 p.m.

The Huntington Police Department has obtained first-degree murder warrants for two individuals involved in the fatal shooting of Julius Jenkins.

According to the Department, the homicide took place on Nov. 28, 2017, in the 2600 block of Rear Guyan Avenue.

The suspects are Katwan Emonzerae-Ladell, Gray, 22, of Detroit, and Deven Kalen Graham, 23, of Warren, Michigan.

Gray is 5’10 and weighs 238 pounds. Graham is 6’3 and weighs 180 pounds.

Both men are considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts are advised to call 911 or the Huntington Police Department’s anonymous tip line at 304-696-4444.


UPDATE: 12/1/17 @ 3:55 p.m.

Huntington Police have identified a man whose body was found Wednesday, November 29th.

Police say that 40-year-old Julius Paul Perkins, 40, of Detroit was found in an alley on the 2600 block of Guyan Avenue at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday.

He has been shot.

No arrests have been made in the investigation, which remains ongoing.


UPDATE: 11/30/17

Police are back in a Huntington neighborhood where a body was found earlier this week.

The Huntington Police Department received a tip this morning about a house on Hal Greer Boulevard in connection to the body found on Guyan Avenue earlier this week.

HPD searched a home as part of this ongoing investigation.

Officials say that at this time they have not made any arrests.

Bryan Chambers, Communications Director for the City of Huntington, tells 13 News that Huntington police are investigating a homicide in the Guyan Ave area.

Chambers tells us that police responded to an area near Guyan Avenue and 1st Street this morning after receiving reports of a body found in an alley.

We're told that the body was identified as a black male, and his name has not been released at this time.

No arrests have been made. 

Neighbors in the area tell 13 News that this is unusual, and that it is typical a safe area.

This is the 15th homicide investigation in Huntington this year.
