A request for change in Pax, WV ends with a trio of arrests on counterfeiting charges.  Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the area after a person who made change for a woman found out the $20 bill they were given was fake.

Investigators were able to track down the woman who passed off the fake cash and a man she was with.  They told deputies they knew the money was counterfeit and advised deputies the money came from a home on Weirwood Loop Road.  During a search of the house, detectives were able to find more counterfeit cash.

Nina Caldwell, 30, and Robert Forren, 34, both of Pax were arrested.  They are charged with counterfeiting.  A third person, Stuart Dotson, 51, of Pax is facing the same charge after turning himself in.  Caldwell and Forren are being held in the Southern Regional Jail on $10,000 bond each.  Dotson was released on a $7,500 bond.
