4 Arrested on Drug Charges in Wayne County

KENOVA, WV (WOWK) – Four people were arrested and three others detained on drug-related charges in Kenova, West Virginia yesterday.

Kenova Police say that officers saw a drug transaction in the 1000 block of Oak Street ar around 1 PM on February 8th, 2018.  An 18-year-old Huntington woman was detained at that location but later released. Two men and another woman ran but were stopped a short distance away. Daishawn Lee Johnson, 19, of Huntington and Edward Earl Duck III, 19, of Akron, Ohio were charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.  Kenova officers seized cash, marijuana, and heroin at that location, and additional charges are pending. 

KPD says that plain clothes officers saw another drug transaction on the 1400 block of Pine Street at around 4 PM.  Harry Blevins of Kenova was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance.  Charges are pending against a second man.  Officers seized cash and heroin after that transaction.

Just before midnight, KPD officers arrested Ian Chase Collier, age 33, of Grayson, Kentucky near the I-64 interchange with State Route 75.  Collier has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Officers seized marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin and a firearm at that location. A follow-up raid in Grayson was conducted by Kentucky State Police during the early morning hours.  More charges are pending by Kentucky authorities.

Johnson, Duck, Blevins, and Collier are all being held at the Western Regional Jail.
