Arrest made in violent domestic dispute

An arrest was made in Fayette County on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in a violent domestic dispute.  Andrew T. Hicks, 31, of Edmond, WV is charged with domestic battery and brandishing a deadly weapon.

Hicks is accused of choking, shoving and headbutting a female victim.  According to a release from Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley, Hicks also pulled out a gun and threatened to kill the victim when she attempted to jump from a moving vehicle.

Hicks is being held in the Southern Regional Jail.  His bond is set at $25,000.
