Former Fayette County High School Coach Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

A plea hearing was held in Fayette County on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 for a former coach from Valley High School.  Larry “Mackie” McCommack, II pleaded guilty to two counts of felony delivery of a controlled substance.  He was arrested in February 2017 after selling Subutex to a confidential informant near Smithers.

McCommack is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 5, 2018 in front of the Honorable Paul M. Blake, Jr.  He faces two to 10 years in prison (1 to 5 for each count).  The crime was investigated by the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force.
