Historical church vandalized in Boyd County

Community members are in shock after a church was vandalized in Boyd County, KY.

The vandalism occurred at the Rush Community Church, a historical building over 100 years old.

Suspects broke through the doors of the church, and spray-painted “666” and obscene images on the outside.

According to the building’s owner, it was recently being restored to be used as a community building. 

They say, “it’s frustrating that someone would do this kind of damage.”

The owners have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover costs of the damages.
