Authorities now say that a skull found by a hunter in Wayne National Park appears to have two bullet holes.
According to a release from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the skull was found on 11/25/2017.
Deputies say that one of the holes appears to be an entry wound, and the second hole an exit wound.
Investigators resumed surveying the area on Monday, due to difficulties involved with the holiday weekend.
Detectives were notified that family members of a missing man had gone to the area on that Sunday and located more human bones and a handgun.
The items were collected by police, as well as additional clothing.
Sheriff Lawless says that the investigation is ongoing and all bones have been sent to a pathologist in Montgomery County to be examined.
