Louisa Police Call for Theft, Turns into Drug Bust

LOUISA, KY (WOWK) - Louisa, Kentucky Police were called out to a local Walmart after employees said a woman was "Tag swapping" placing lower priced tags on items.

Once on scene, police found Brandi Fanning, of Tomahawk, had methamphetamine, suboxone, neurontin and valium on her. Police found two men waiting for Fanning outside. A K-9 unit searched the car and found Elvis Spence and Mark Mollette in possession of meth.

Fanning is charged withTheft by Unlawful Taking under $500, Conspiracy to Trafficking in Control Substance 2nd degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd degree.

Spence was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Trafficking in Control Substance 2nd degree and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree.

Mollett was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Trafficking in Control Substance 2nd degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree and Possession of Marijuana.

All were lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Dentition Center. Louisa officers were assisted by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department.
