Man Arrested After Stealing Semi, Leading Police on a Chase

PRINCETON, W. Va (WVNS) — A Weston man is in jail after deputies said he stole a semi-truck and led law enforcement on a pursuit. 

Deputies said Jesse Nathan Bell, 24, was arrested after he allegedly stole a semi from the Wal-Mart in Princeton while the driver was unloading the truck Friday afternoon.   

West Virginia Turnpike Police then spotted Bell driving the semi along I-77 North and chased after him.  

Officers said Bell avoided three spike strips. He eventually crashed near the Mahan exit on I-77 and was arrested.

No injuries were reported but a police cruiser was totaled during the pursuit.

Bell is facing several charges from several jurisdictions. He’s being held in the Southern Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
