2 More Arrested in Connection to Calhoun County Murder

CALHOUN COUNTY, WV (WOWK) - UPDATE: 12/20/2017 @ 12:09 p.m.

Jamie L. Miller and Heather Davis have been arrested by Task Force Officers in Braxton County in connection to the Calhoun County murder of Eugene Stevens.

Miller, 31, and Davis, 27, are being held at Central Regional Jail.

Miller has charges of 1st degree murder, conspiracy, and armed robbery.

UPDATE: 12/18/17 @ 4:00 p.m.

West Virginia State Police are searching for a third man in connection to a murder in Calhoun County.

According to State Police, troopers are searching for 31-year-old Jamie L. Miller.

Troopers have issued warrants for Miller's arrest for his alleged involvement in the home invasion of Eugene Stevens. 

They say they are actively searching for Miller, who is from Crummie's Creek not far from the Sand Ridge area of Calhoun County.

Troopers also say they're working on identifying a female who is believed to be the fourth individual involved in the deadly home invasion.

West Virginia State Police say a second man has been charged in connection to a murder in Calhoun County.

According to State Police, 29-year-old Evan Hershman, of Lizemores, WV, has been arrested in connection to the murder of 77-year-old Eugene Stevens.

No other details have been released at this time.

UPDATE: 12/7/17 @ 4:20 p.m.

West Virginia State Police say a man has been charged in connection to a murder in Calhoun County.

State Police say Tony Boggs, of Stinson, has been charged in connection to the murder of 77-year-old Eugene Stevens.

Boggs was dropped off Tuesday morning by four unknown men after being shot in the abdomen and head. He was dropped off at the Minnie Hamilton Health Center in Grantsville.

State Police have not released what his charges are at this time.

No other arrests have been made yet, but State Police say more charges against more people are forthcoming.

ORIGINAL STORY: 12/6/17

West Virginia State Police say that one man has been killed and another was shot in two separate but connected cases in Calhoun County.

On Tuesday at around 4:45 a.m. a man was dropped off at the hospital with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and head by four unknown people at Minnie Hamilton Hospital in Granstville.

The man with the gunshot wounds has been identified as Travis Boggs of Stinson.

His condition is unknown at this time. They are not sure where the shooting took place.

State Troopers say the men dropped Boggs off in a late model Ford Explorer SUV, which was later found to be burned at the southern end of the county during the afternoon.

Later that evening around 6 p.m. Calhoun County dispatchers received a report of a home invasion in the Big Bend area.

State Troopers say they arrived and discovered that 77-year-old Eugene Stevens dead in his home with an apparent gunshot wound.

State Police say that evidence at the scene of Stevens' home indicate that the people involved with dropping Boggs off at the hospital were also involved in the death of Stevens.

No arrests have been made yet, but troopers believe they are coming soon.
