State Troopers launch investigation involving Lincoln County Schools employee

HAMLIN, WV (WOWK) - Troopers with the Hamlin detachment of the West Virginia State Police are investigating allegations involving a Lincoln County school system employee.

"There is an investigation going on right now by the West Virginia State Police," said Assistant Lincoln County Schools Superintendent Bill Linville.

Linville went on to say, "We are conducting our own investigation, as a school system.  We always put the safety of our children first, and we will in this situation, also.  Due to a personnel issue, we cannot make anymore comments."

We've reached out to troopers with the Hamlin detachment of the West Virginia State Police for more information.  Troopers declined to comment.
