Police have arrested a suspect in connection the shooting death of a woman in Wood County, WV earlier this morning.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Aqua Isles area, a trailer park, just after 1 A.M on Monday, March 5th, 2018.
Deputies say that the victim, identified as Eva Munoz, 27, of Parkersburg, was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.
The cause of death was ruled to be a single gunshot wound to the chest.
The suspect, Michael Levi Gainer, 19, of Parkersburg, was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment.
Gainer’s was remanded in lieu of bond and was transported to North Central Regional Jail.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau is handling the investigation.
