Man Arrested for G.D. Ritzy's Robbery

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) - UPDATE (4/30/2018 11:22 AM):

Huntington's Communications Director Bryan Chambers says that Aaron Rafael Ingram, 49, was arrested for the robbery of G. D. Ritzy's.

Chambers says that Huntington Police detectives were able to establish communication with Ingram and convinced him to turn himself in at Huntington Police Department headquarters at approximately 9 AM Monday, April 30th, 2018.

Ingram was arraigned in Cabell County Magistrate Court and was taken to the Western Regional Jail on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

Huntington Police are looking for Aaron Rafael Ingram, 49 , wanted on first-degree robbery and attempted murder charges following an incident at G.D. Ritzy's at 8 a.m. Saturday, in the 1300 block of Hal Greer Boulevard.

Detectives believe that the suspect, a former employee of the restaurant, entered the business with a knife in an attempt to rob G.D. Ritzy’s owner Sidney Torlone before he opened Saturday morning.

Torlone was held at knifepoint until he gave Ingram items from the safe. The suspect followed by delivering several blows to Torlone's head with a blunt metal object. Torlone is currently in critical condition at a local hospital.

According to Huntington PD Ingram has an extensive, violent criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on Ingram’s whereabouts or the incident is advised to call 911 immediately.
