Two suspects arrested on felony drug charges during Huntington bust

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) - The Huntington Police Department have arrested two suspects on felony drug charges following a drug sweep earlier today.

According to a release, police received complaints about drug and prostitution activity at a residence near the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue in Huntington.

Police executed a drug related search warrant at the residence. 

At the scene, police located meth paraphernalia, packing materials, and uncapped needles.

Two suspects were arrested on the following charges.

Jeffery David Payne, 40, of South Point, OH, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. 

Summer Marie Scott, 27, of Huntington, WV, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and a felony capias warrant.

Police say that the property owner, Bill Perdue, pleaded guilty to two counts related to the city's nuisance property ordinance, and was ordered to pay two $500 fines.

Police say a third person was arrested and released at the scene, and additional arrests are expected.
