U.S. Marshals apprehend wanted Harrison County man in Tyler County

UPDATE (1/31/2019):

Following a lengthy police chase on Thursday morning, the United States Marshals Service arrested a man that was wanted in Harrison County on multiple charges.

Marshals said they arrested Travis Medina on Thursday around 10:30 a.m. near Mt. Zion Church on Broad Run Road in Tyler County. Marshals announced that they were searching for Medina a week prior on Thursday, January 24, as he was wanted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and DUI third offense.

According to marshals, Medina was apprehended following a vehicle pursuit that lasted more than two hours and involved six different law enforcement agencies. Marshals also said that Medina was traveling on a side-by-side that is suspected to be stolen out of Harrison County

Marshals said that Medina will be investigated for additional charges following the police pursuit.


ORIGINAL (1/24/2019):

The United States Marshal’s Service announced that they are currently searching for a man that is wanted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department on multiple charges.

Marshal’s have asked the public’s assistance in locating and apprehending Travis Medina, 35. Medina is described as a white male that is approximately 6’0″ tall and 195 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Marshals also said that Medina is known to wear glasses.

According to Marshals, Medina is wanted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and DUI third offense. Marshals said that Medina is known to frequent multiple areas of Harrison County, but may have fled to other surrounding areas. Medina was last seen operating a red Honda side-by-side in the West Milford area earlier on Wednesday, and Marshals said he may have access to multiple other vehicles.

Marshals said that Medina is suspected of fleeing from law enforcement on multiple occasions. Officers are currently investigating potential criminal charges of associates that may be assisting Medina avoid capture, Marshals said.
