West Virginia University has issued a statement regarding the arrest of Clarence Wright, the man arrested for making terroristic threats against West Virginia University. Read the full statement below:

ORIGINAL (9/24/2018):

The Morgantown Police Department have arrested a man they say threatened to commit a mass shooting at West Virginia University.

According to police, 50-year-old Clarence Wright of Morgantown stated that he wanted to commit the shooting to “leave a legacy behind”, and that he couldn’t think of anything else he would rather do.

Police said that Wright has been charged with terroristic threats.
