Amanda Brotherton has been charged with kidnapping and grand larceny.
No bond has been set for kidnapping and a $100,000 cash, property, or bondsman for the grand larceny.
Brotherton could face up to life in prison for the kidnapping charge and one to 10 years in prison on grand larceny.
She was also arraigned for a domestic battery charge from earlier this year.

Ripley Police have arrested 34-year-old Amanda Brotherton.
Brotherton is the suspect accused of stealing a vehicle with a one-year-old inside at the Econo Lodge in Ripley late Thursday evening.
The vehicle was recovered at the Hot Spot on Route 62 and the child was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but has since been returned to the child’s family.
Brotherton is lodged in the South Central Regional Jail.
Police say Brotherton is a suspect in multiple stolen vehicle cases.
UPDATE 4/26/18 @ 11:00 p.m.
According to Ripley PD the child and the vehicle have been found. The child is believed to be safe.
Investigators say officers with the Ripley Police Department are actively searching for a stolen vehicle with a one-year-old inside.
According to a statewide alert system, a silver, 2013 Chevy Malibu with the WV license plate 1MZ825 was stolen from the Econolodge along Hospitality Drive in Ripley around 10 p.m.
Dispatchers had no further information.
At this point in the investigation, we have not received a description of the suspect.
