SCARBRO, W. Va. (WVNS/WOWK) — Fayette County Deputies are investigating a suspicious death after finding a vehicle on fire with a body inside.   

According to Sheriff Mike Fridley, officials were called to the scene of a car fire on Plum Orchard Lake Road around 4:15 Sunday afternoon.

Deputies confirm a body was found inside of the vehicle. Fayette County Deputies and officers with the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources are on scene. 

Mount Hope, Pax and Oak Hill Volunteer Fire Departments also responded to the scene.
