Eldery woman beaten during home invasion, deputies investigating

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an elderly woman was beaten during a home invasion Wednesday night. 

Deputies tell 59 News a man, who was not in the home at the time, called law enforcement after an 88-year-old woman was beaten inside her home on Oney Gap road around 5 p.m. on July 11, 2018.  

The elderly woman was taken to the hospital due to her injuries. Law Enforcement is still searching for a suspect or suspects.
