Police Release Identity of Teen Killed in Fatal I-64 Crash


UPDATE: 1/17/2018 12:10 P.M.

According to the Cabell County Sheriff's Office, Bridgett Sacks, a 19-year-old Marshall University student from Putnam County, was killed in yesterday's multi-vehicle accident on I-64.


UPDATE: 1/16/2018 4:50 P.M.

Deputies tell 13 News that all lanes of I-64 near the 24 mile marker have been reopened following a fatal accident earlier today. 



Eastbound lanes of I-64 are shut down in Cabell County after a fatal multi-vehicle accident this afternoon.

Cabell County dispatchers say the accident is on I-64, in between Milton, WV and Barboursville, WV near Mile Marker 24.5. They say all Eastbound lanes are closed and Westbound lanes are open.

Dispatcher say a semi-truck and three vehicles are involved in the accident.

According to the Cabell County Sheriff's Office, one person is dead after the accident.

Dispatchers say that I-64 will be shut down "for a while."

A detour has been set up eastbound at Mile Marker 20, onto Route 60, and then back onto I-64 at Mile Marker 28.
