Three people have been arrested following armed robberies at businesses in Huntington.
According to the Huntington Police Department, Charles Martin, 48, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with armed robbery late Monday, Dec. 4, after a Huntington Police officer observed him fleeing from the Family Dollar at 9th Avenue and 10th Street.
The officer apprehended Martin in the parking lot. He was charged with armed robbery.
After further investigation, detectives linked Martin to five other armed robberies – three at Speedway, one at RC Carryout and another previous robbery at the same Family Dollar.
All of those robberies have occurred since Oct. 1. Martin was also charged with armed robbery in each of those incidents.
Police say Matthew Edward Corrigan, 26, of Huntington, was arrested Dec. 1 and charged in connection with the armed robbery of the Dollar General in the 300 block of Norway Avenue on Nov. 28.
Antonio George, 26, of Huntington, was arrested Nov. 25 and charged in connection with the armed robbery of the Shell gas station at the corner of 8th Avenue and 22nd Street on Nov. 18.

Huntington Police are investigating two armed robberies in Huntington Monday night.
The first armed robbery took place at the Family Dollar near the corner of 10th Street and 9th Avenue around 10 p.m.
Dispatchers say a man robbed the store at gunpoint but has been apprehended by police.
No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
The second armed robbery took place at the Stadium Liquors at the corner of 20th Street and 6th Avenue just after 10 p.m.
Dispatchers say a man robbed the store at gunpoint, got away with an undisclosed amount of money, and fled the scene.
No injuries were reported, and there is no suspect description at this time.
Huntington Police continue to investigate both armed robberies.
