Federal Fugitive on the Run After High Speed Pursuit, Crashes


UPDATE: 2/6/2018 4:02 P.M.

Deputies say that Bolton has crashed his vehicle on Ashton Upland Road in southern Mason County.

Deputies say Bolton is still on the loose in that area.

He is wanted by authorities for a federal parole violation related to a 1995 narcotics charge.

Bolton is described as wanted fugitive Eric Benjamin Bolton age 40. Bolton is a black male height 6’01” weight 200 lbs brown eyes black hair.

A federal fugitive is on the run after a pursuit in Putnam County that ended in Mason County.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, police attempted to stop a black 750i BMW in the Winfield area Tuesday.

The vehicle drove south to Interstate 64 before traveling into Mason County in speeds reportedly in excess of 100 mph.

The fugitive was able to get away from authorities. 

The fugitive has been identified as Eric Bolton. Deputies are considering him armed and dangerous. Bolton reportedly may have ammunition, body armor, as well as narcotics.
