Highway Reopens Following Tanker Crash

As of 9 a.m., Kentucky State Police say that Route 319 has reopened following a tanker truck crash.


ORIGINAL: 1/15/18 @ 5:20 a.m.

Route 319 in Pike County, KY is expected to be closed for a few hours following a tanker crash.

The crash was reported right around 4:30 a.m. south of the McCarr area of Pike County west of Freeburn not far from the West Virginia/Kentucky border.

Kentucky State Police says there are no injuries in the crash, but as a result of the crash, the tanker truck is offloading fuel to another truck.

Kentucky State Police say that Route 319 will be shut down at the Route 1056 intersection for about 3 to 4 hours as a result of the offloading.

Kentucky State Police and the Blackberry Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
