Kentucky State Police Identify 2 Killed in Pike County Motorcycle Crash

PIKE COUNTY, KY (WOWK) - UPDATE:

The Kentucky State Police have identified the two people killed in a motorcycle crash near Kemper yesterday.

KSP say that James Shepherd, 56, Phyllis KY, was the operator of the motorcycle and Geneva Hunter, 76, of Phyllis, KY, was the passenger on the motorcycle.

The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post are investigating a fatal accident that happened near Kemper earlier today.

According to KSP, it happened just before 3 P.M. on Upper Johns Creek Road.

Troopers say a motorcycle was traveling east on KY 632 when the driver lost control and drove into a creek bed.

Both driver and passenger of the motorcycle were pronounced dead.

Their names have not been released while family is notified. 

The Kemper Fire Department and Trans Star Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
