POLICE: Roane County Stabbing Suspect Turns Self In

According to the West Virginia State Police, the suspect in Friday mornings stabbing in Roane County has turned himself in.

Joseph Shannon Daniels turned himself into Troopers during an unrelated traffic stop in Huntington on Saturday afternoon.

Daniels is currently being housed in the Western Regional Jail.

According to deputies with the Roane County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle the suspect was driving who is wanted for the stabbing early Friday morning has been recovered.

The 2004 Jeep Liberty was found by Cabell County deputies in Ona on Friday afternoon.

The suspect is still on the run and considered Armed and Dangerous.

ROANE COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – A man is wanted by deputies and is considered armed and dangerous after a stabbing in Roane County.

According to deputies, a person was stabbed in Spencer at around 2:10 a.m. Friday. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies say Joseph Shannon Daniels is the suspect in the case, and is considered armed and dangerous by police. 

Daniels is described as a white male, 5’7″ tall, and weighs about 200 pounds. He has multiple tattoos and a large beard.

Deputies believe that Daniels may be headed to the Branchland area of Lincoln County driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport that is tan or golden in color. The spare tire on the vehicle is missing.

The license tag is 1PE117.

Depites say if you see this individual, do not approach him. Call either 9-1-1 or call the Roane County Sheriff’s Department at 304-927-3410.
