Woman has Heartfelt Reunion with Cat After Charleston House Fire

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) - Firefighters with the Charleston Fire Department rescued a woman from her roof after a house fire on the East End.

The fire was reported at around 11:45 AM on Friday, April 27th, 2018.

The house is located on the 1500 Block of Jackson Street.

The tennant of the affected apartment was distraught following her own rescue, concerned she had lost her son's cat.  We were there as the heartfelt reunion took place.  

No word yet as to the cause of the fire.  Fire officials are investigating.
